A Caring Home for the Elderly, a Hospice, and a Training Centre for Professional Caregivers
Handmaids Hospice and Comprehensive Elder Care and Training Home (HACECATH) in Obudu is an old people's home run by the Sisters of Handmaids of the Holy Child Jesus. We look after elderly people, especially those who are neglected and vulnerable, with love, dignity and respect, day and night.
We also support families through day care and respite care, and offer home care services.
Alongside the home, we run an accredited training centre where men and women are trained in the professional care of the elderly. Successful graduates are awarded a certificate recognised nationwide and internationally.
Our training is for caregivers, not for the elderly. We train men and women to become skilled, compassionate caregivers who will care for and render services to the elderly, in homes, care centres and hospitals.
